A decorated U.S. Coast Guard Officer, Mandy Le Monde is a nationally recognized emergency management and disaster response specialist.  In this capacity, she has been instrumental in addressing some of our nation’s most severe crises over her 16-year career. Currently, she is on special assignment with the Department of Homeland Security as a program analyst, where she supports the Department’s commitment to cultivating a strong culture of evaluation, evidence building, and organizational learning to facilitate better decision making. She also serves on the Governance Committee for the Coast Guard Women’s Leadership Initiative, which supports professional development and mentorship opportunities for Coast Guard women in the service and beyond. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Aquatic Biology and Microbiology from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Master of Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where she focused her studies on equity policy and leadership, a passion that will inform her work championing Beacon House’s mission.
