James “Coach Black” Gray has been involved with Beacon House since 2009 where he has coached numerous children and young adults in various sporting activities such as football, basketball, baseball. As a team member with our Athletics Program, he works closely with Rodney Cephas. Born and raised in Washington DC, James is a proud alumnus of Paul Laurence Dunbar senior high school. Alongside being a father of three, one son and two daughters, James has helped to mentor countless young people in the Edgewood community.
