DaShawn has been a Youth Development mentor at Beacon House since September 2022.  DaShawn is committed to helping young children succeed in both their academic and personal life.  She works to instill loyalty, respect, empathy, honesty, and responsibility in young people. DaShawn is currently a student at the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point (VWSP), studying early childhood education.  She is also a literacy tutor at an elementary school and a loving big sister to a beautiful girl she mentors and cares for deeply.  In her free time DaShawn enjoys watching criminal investigation shows and horror movies, and eating new foods.
