For over 20 years, Beacon House has provided a dynamic 5-week Summer Camp experience for up to 90 youth, ages 5 –13—prioritizing children living in Edgewood Commons. Our camps are designed to offer a safe, engaging, and affordable summer option that keeps kids learning, growing, and having fun.
We offer two enriching summer experiences:
Camp L.E.A.P. (Learn, Explore, Achieve, Play):
An extension of our school-year academic programs, Camp L.E.A.P. helps prevent summer learning loss through fun, project-based activities in literacy, math, science, and the arts. Campers also enjoy weekly themes, field trips, and hands-on enrichment that spark creativity and build key life skills.
Beacon House Sports Camp:
Led by our Athletics Department, Sports Camp keeps youth active and motivated with daily training, fitness, and team sports like basketball, football, and more. The camp promotes physical health, teamwork, discipline, and leadership—both on and off the field.
According to the National Summer Learning Association, “Every summer, low-income youth lose two to three months in reading while their higher-income peers make slight gains.” Beacon House’s summer programs are designed to close that gap—while ensuring every child has a summer to remember.
