Erin’s journey with Beacon House began in the Summer of 2016 when she volunteered as a First Grade Classroom Assistant with our Summer Camp. Her time with Beacon House inspired her to continue her work in underserved communities and devote her career to bettering the educational outcomes of at-risk students. Following her volunteer experience, Erin went on to work at multiple education nonprofits in the DC area, including Horton’s Kids and Jubilee Housing, in both direct service and site management capacities. After nearly four years of work with these communities, she returned to Beacon House in January 2020 as a full-time staff member. Erin possess a BA in Political Science from Temple University and an M.Ed. in Education Policy and Leadership from American University.
