2021: Our 30th Anniversary Year!

This past year, we celebrated 30 years of Beacon House history and impact.

Looking back: We walked down memory lane, including catching up with our Founder Rev. Donald E. Robinson, program alumni, long-time volunteers, supporters and community partners.

Looking forward: We are now looking forward and discussing how we will uplift the next generation of families in the Edgewood neighborhood!

Part of looking is forward is planning for our sustainability. There are two initiatives we have undertaken:

Our “30 Stories Over 30 Days” throughout December 2021 helped to commemorate our 30 years of operation by introducing some of the people that have helped make Beacon House a home. Like a patchwork quilt, all the stories weave together to showcase our community impact. We hope the stories have conveyed that Beacon House is helping to build a brighter future for youth of color in DC.
